Good food, prepared on site and inspired by the flavours of northern Sweden. At SKOG, dining is part of the experience, for a moment to slow down, warm up and gather around the table after a day in the Arctic.
We prepare and cook our meals on site, with a focus on comforting dishes, Swedish traditions and seasonal ingredients. Whenever conditions and availability allow, we also source food from our own surroundings, whether through fishing, hunting or our own small-scale production.
Our menus are shaped by the season and what is available. Not every meal is the same, and that is part of what makes dining at SKOG personal and connected to life in Lapland.
Dinner is served buffet-style, with a selection of hot and cold dishes, something sweet for dessert and non-alcoholic drinks. Our menu combines familiar Swedish comfort food with northern specialities.
Dishes listed are examples from our dinner menus. The selection varies depending on the day, season and ingredient availability. Not all dishes are served at every dinner.
Arctic days call for something warm. Our lunch centres on the soup of the day, served with toppings so you can make it your own, alongside a selection of cold buffet items, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks.
Our soups change with the day and the season, offering a simple, satisfying way to recharge between Arctic adventures.
Non-alcoholic drinks are included with our buffet meals. Guests wishing to enjoy alcoholic beverages must arrange this with us at least seven days before arrival.
Planning to enjoy alcohol during your stay? Please contact us at least one week before arrival so arrangements can be discussed in advance, in accordance with the applicable Swedish alcohol regulations.
Whether you return from a snowy forest walk, a reindeer encounter or a night spent watching the northern lights, there is something special about coming back to a warm meal. At SKOG, we believe good food does not need to be complicated. It needs to be prepared with care and shared with pleasure.
